Ever wondered what to do when bored?
Then you dear learner friend are not alone. Me too!
I compiled a list of things we can do when bored. I take it that you want these items to be fun and productive at the same time.
At the back of our minds, let’s remember that we don’t want things that will undo all the self-work we have done. If anything they should progress us.
That said, grab your fleece and some beautiful mug of tea and read one!
Yaaay!!
1) Read one life lesson from the book: Life Lessons from The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari
Each lesson is almost less than a page but it is so worth it! There are so many lessons so you might be reading that book for a while;)
Oh and don’t get me started on how practical the lessons are. This book is totally worth your coins.
2) Learn a New Recipe
Try cooking or baking something new. A bit of an adventure there!
I recently learned how to make granola.
Best investment you guys! Saves me a lot of money! (Is that not what we want?)
3) Go for a Walk
Enjoy some fresh outside air and observe your neighborhood too.
You might be surprised your neighbor is a celebrity you admire.
4) Write in a Journal
Yaaass!! Write in a journal. Express your thoughts and feelings freely on paper.
It can be quite the treat.
5) Start a DIY Project
Get creative! Time will fly by pretty fast.
Try making something with your hands. I am a lover of such. I am into water painting, string art and such kinds of things.
Here are mine;)
6) Listen to a Podcast
Find a podcast on a topic you enjoy and let yourself be entertained or informed.
Have you listened to Real Dictators? A friend shared that with me. It’s like listening to an action movie.
So good!
7) Organize Your Space
One thing about organizing, it can boost your mood from 0-100. No Cap!
8) Learn a New Skill Online
There are endless tutorials on the internet so no excuse my friend.
One of my friends is taking up crocheting and I truly can’t wait to see what she will create from it.
9) Exercise
My go-to exercise when I am bored is stretches.
I also do that in the morning when I don’t have the energy for a whole workout. It\’s good for your body and mind.
Include breathing exercises in that too. It’s a recipe for ‘A relaxed mind in Less than 5 Minutes’.
10) Play Candy Crash
Play a game you love. Whether it\’s a video game, board game, or card game, have some fun and challenge yourself.
Me and Candy Crash are stuck for life…lol.
11) Call someone
Preferably a friend or a family member you haven’t connected with in a while. It will mean a lot to them.
12) Be a plant parent
Get three planters and plant beautiful baby plants and take care of them.
It\’s rewarding to watch them bloom.
13) New music and playlists
Listen to songs and artists in a genre you haven\’t heard before.
If you have been looking to update your song lists and playlists, this is the best time to do it!
14) Learn a New Language
My recommendation is Duolingo. You can learn a few phrases in a language you love.
15) Create Pinterest Boards
Make boards for things that make you happy like fashion, interior décor, motivational quotes…you are spoilt for choice.
16) Plan Your Dream Vacation
Research and plan a trip, and create an itinerary, even if it\’s just a dream for now.
It might come in handy someday. Who knows!
17: Take Photos and edit them
Capture beautiful moments around you. It\’s a simple way to express creativity.
Also, you might discover some cool features on your phone;)
18) Try a Sudoku
If you are into mind challenges, look for a puzzle and fill it in.
I am more of a Sudoku girl than crosswords. You?
19) Visit a Museum or Art Gallery Online
This is something I am planning to do. Imagine visiting a museum from the comfort of your home.
What a treat!
20) Write Gratitude List
This is such an uplifting activity. I promise you will leave there feeling the happiest.
21) Leave a positive comment on someone’s post
You do this and you will literally make the day for a stranger. Let’s spread love amid all the hate going around. Yes?
22) Create a Bucket List
Dream big and go crazy about the experiences you want to have in your lifetime. Let nothing hold you back.
Think of it as a faith step.
23) Try a New Hairstyle
I’ve been contemplating cutting my hair. Experiment with your hair, try out different styles, and have some fun.
24) Write a Poem or Song
You don’t have to be an artist to do this. Consider it a way of expressing your emotions.
You could read it to your hubby or wifey soon. Imagine the possibility!
25) Plan a Movie Night
Who said you can’t have a movie night alone? Choose a theme, grab some snacks, and enjoy your movie at home unapologetically.
26) Create a Photo Album
Compile your favorite memories into a physical or digital photo album.
27) Take an Online Course
Enroll in a short online course to learn something new or enhance your existing skills.

Remember, the goal is to engage in activities that bring you joy, stimulate your mind, and add a touch of positivity to your day!
What is your favorite from the list?
Go, Learner!
