
30 Lessons for My 30 Years + Fun Facts About Turning 30
Hey Learner.
Has anyone here turned 30 recently?
Well, I did and I am super elated about it.
I turned 30 on 7th Jan 2024.
What comes with it is a sudden wave of maturity and responsibility.
I can confirm this, not because it’s what 30-year-olds say but because it happens, literally.
It’s a blessing to have made it this far.
I have lived in the era of 4 presidents. What??
Someone, twice my age is reading thing this and probably going, “You’ve seen nothing yet.” lol.
Let a girl celebrate.
I have picked a couple of lessons along the way but before I share my lessons, here are some fun facts about turning 30.
- 30 years means 3 decades! Shocker!
- You have an increased attractiveness due to increased confidence and self-awareness.
- Your discernment spikes- You can easily detect inconsistencies and manipulations from people leading to more peaceful living.
- You become better at prioritizing meaningful relationships and saying no to those that don’t build you up.
- You make friends for life.
- You don’t always ‘got’ it, some slip through the cracks.
- You make choices that align with your values and goals.
- You get to mentor those younger than you. How cool is that?

Now, on to my 30 lessons for my 30 years of living
- I love the idea of aging (wisdom, experiences, growth, wealth).
- You don’t always owe people an explanation.
- It’s okay for people to disagree with you.
- Get your mindset right and everything else falls into place.
- Love is choosing.
- In His own time, God makes everything beautiful- Keep believing.
- I am a morning person.
- Figure out your purpose as early as you can, it will save you a lot of time.
- When you are angry about something, sleep on it.
- I choose discipline over motivation.
- Family is not always blood.
- No is a complete sentence.
- You are responsible for how your life turns out.
- You can learn anything you want to learn, there is no limitation/ I don’t know everything.
- I love reading and writing (books, journaling)
- Your life partner is one of the greatest life decisions you will make.
- I’d rather listen to music than watch a movie.
- Trauma wounds take time to heal.
- If it can’t be measured it was not done- (hello productivity).
- Proactive laziness any day any time.
- You don’t have to love things to do them.
- Making phone calls is not that hard (Previously loved texting).
- Mostly quality over quantity.
- Take Ls like a champ (See them as the past, and take lessons).
- There is enough grace to extend: you can love more, you can be more patient with someone- it’s possible.
- Once in a while try to walk in someone else’s shoes.
- Peace over everything (it’s an assurance of God’s presence to me).
- Consistency is a faith action,
- I’m not everyone’s favorite person.
- Tomorrow is a new day to try again.
